FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work with my hosting?

Yes, iCONstat works on any hosting that supports PHP 7.4 or higher with the cURL extension enabled (in 2026, practically any serious hosting on the market). No server configuration required, no database to create. Just upload the files via FTP.

What is FTP? How do I install iCONstat?

If you don't know how to use an FTP client or don't even know what it is, write to us and we'll guide you.
We'll walk you through the installation step by step, because #theWebForEveryone is more than just a slogan.

How do I use it with WordPress?

To simplify WordPress integration, we specifically developed the iCONstat-Tracker plugin.
Just download it HERE, install and activate it in WordPress, copy the _iconstat folder via FTP to the directory where WordPress is installed, and activate iCONstat. Done. Analytics are already active.

How many visits can it handle?

iCONstat is designed to monitor websites with up to 3,000 visits per day, roughly 90,000 visits per month. More than the vast majority of websites receive.

What if I change my domain or hosting?

The license is portable. You can deactivate it from the settings panel and reactivate it on the new domain at any time, at no additional cost. Analytics data is easily moved by copying the folder.

Are updates included?

All version 1.x updates are included and free forever. For all future major releases (v2.0+), customers with valid licenses will have access to discounted upgrades.

How does cookieless tracking work?

iCONstat uses a lightweight fingerprinting system based on non-personal data (timezone, browser language) combined with irreversible hashing. No profiling cookies, no personal data stored, full GDPR compliance.

How does UTM tracking work?

iCONstat automatically detects UTM parameters in your visitors' URLs. Add the parameters to the links you share (e.g.: yoursite.com?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video) and you'll see the data in the dashboard, organized by source, medium, and campaign.
Works with any platform: YouTube, newsletters, social media, ads.

Can I use iCONstat on multiple sites?

Each license is valid for a single domain. For multiple sites, you can purchase additional licenses and become our partner, with access to beta versions and priority support. Contact us for volume discounts at partners@iconsuite.it.

Is there a guarantee?

Of course. Under EU regulations, the right of withdrawal for digital products expires at the time of download. However, we still guarantee a refund if within 14 days of purchase the software doesn't work due to a technical bug and our support team can't resolve it within 7 business days.
