I tested iCONstat and I must say it's a truly solid solution for those who want to maintain full control of their data.
Installation was dead simple, all I needed was FTP and the WP plugin. In a few steps the system was already operational, with no complicated dependencies or cumbersome configurations.

I've been trying iCONstat for a few days and so far it seems excellent. A lightweight version of GA4, without the GDPR compliance difficulties (data is all local) and the redundancy of so many values that GA offers but that for less technical users can be useless: the displayed data is essential and the most important to keep an eye on.
I'm using it both on a WordPress site (iCONstat comes with a plug-and-play WP plugin), and on a custom PHP site, for which it's enough to upload the folder via FTP to the site root and register. Excellent the ability to customize the events to track and to always have them under control in the dashboard.
